I have a f22b jdm swap, I have been running a p14 a50 with it for the past 5 plus years. Found a p39 n51 and swapped it.
So I decided to open the p14 and see whats inside. There is a daughter board soldered to a cn3 port... I've searched and searched for an answer... But nothing definitive.
Either it's a factory chip or an immobilizer... Yes no?
Neither the p39 or the stock 92 accord ecu had this daughter so it's just a curious question that I'm trying to answer.
What's it for? Why's it there? Why is this one out 3 ecus I've opened and looked at have this extra board? Is it special?
What car does the p14 come from? I've mostly found it to come out of a 92 to 95 prelude si. Some even said it's from the 96 to 01 lude. Some say the p13 is obd1 and is for the 92 to 95 lude h22. And the p14 is 96 to 01 h23 lude ...
None of these questions NEED answering. But when I seen that daughter board it piqued my curiosity. That's where you'd put like a hondata chip. So yeah... Any answers would be cool. Thanks guys and gals . The small board to the right is what I'm Wondering about.

Reason: Added picture
The P14 ECU is from the '92-96 Prelude Si with the H23A DOHC non-VTEC engine. It did NOT come in the 5G Preludes ('97-01). How about posting a picture of what you are asking about...

Alright cool. Added a pic, any ideas?
This ecu is from a jdm prelude?
