timing belt change now too advanced and PINGs
SOOOO last fall I did the timing belt (d15b7) after the install, I noticed some ping when going up hill so instead of taking the timing covers off and verifying that I screwed up the install and advanced the timing by being a tooth off, I jsut retarded the timing a bit and said to heck with it. It got cold, then colder and the ping went away. Well now its warming up and the ping is back. My question is, which way did I turn the cam gear when I advanced the cam to make the distributor timing off. I plan to change the belt and do the job right this time and am just curios which way advances and which way retards the cam timing. BTW the car runs fine, just pings with regular gas
Thanks
Thanks
