Default 93 accord Ignition Timing

Okay. I'm tired of this ****. I timed my car twice already. The first time on one of the white lines using the straw method in cylinder 1. Was running it for a couple weeks and after a couple valve adjustments it sounded alright but it was still tapping. I did some research and i found that the pointer should be on the red line on the flywheel. so i took the cam sprocket off and cranked the bitch till it was on the red line and put the cam sproket back on the right way( notches lined up with the head and (up) faced up with the head (slightly slanted) (a finesse way of timing but it works **** taking everything off). And ive been running it for a couple days now. No tapping and i thought i did good intill now. I stumbled across a video saying that its suppose to be on the white line? Why why why. i think whoever said it was the red line confused it with when you jump the ecu and check it with the light. So its 10 btdc advanced. my question is can i adjust the distributor and get it on time without ******* with the cam and ****. The dizzy is dead set in the middle for adjustments. Im thinking it prolly has to be clocked all the way right or left for it to work since there isnt much room in the adjustment. Fuuck> can someone help me. I really dont want to take everything off again lol. Im just tired of it and i just want to start working on the other stuff that needs to be done. its running good tho right now in my opinion. before it was loud as **** and their was less power

If you have it on the red mark, it's correct. I would leave it alone. You have it the right way.

okay so the flywheel windows suppose to be on the red line when the car is tdc on cam? I haven't checked it with a light yet I plan on doing it today.

I would check it with a gun at this point.

Watch this video to check your timing correctly. It should show you where to plug in the jumper.

When setting up cam timing(timing belt) use the white mark. The white mark is TDC.

When setting up ignition timing(timing light, vehicle running) use the red mark. The red mark is 15 BTDC.

Okay so which white line. there's a bunch of them. How many lines over the red one ? My flywheel looks like this. If it's the first one where the pictures pointing I had it right the first time but it didn't run right. This all started after I had a retard do my water pump/belt about a year ago and it never ran right since and then the cam sproket sheared off about 2 months ago (I don't think they tighten the cam sproket to specs) put a junkyard cam in it and been trying to get my car back to how it was before dick face touched it. It ran great but now it just runs okay. But it is going on 200k

Damn I wanna say its the 2nd white line.

To double check, remove the spark plug from cylinder #1 and insert a long screwdriver or other object and turn the crank and watch as that object reaches its peak. That will be TDC(should correspond to the lining up of the white line)

I apologize but its been years since Ive done one of these belts, however the way I told you to verify TDC is fool-proof and will line you up correctly

if u read my full post i already did this the first time I timed it and it was tapping really bad even after 2 adjustments and there was less power. Idk I need a straight answer tho. I've read so many threads and so many different answers on which line to put it at. Yea I guess I should go get
a Haynes or something but really this shouldn't be that difficult.
