My name is Célestin and I live in France. I'm 15. (I see we have to be 18 for signing up, let me being here
) and I'm student in mechanic college.
What's my ride ?
This is a 95' Honda Civic EG3 (equivalent to CX EH2 Civic) with the EDM D13B2 motor which have 2-barrel carburetor. She have 320 000 km. Actually, this is the ride of my grandpa and he will give me her when I'll be 18 (2023).
Here is the equipment:
- Power steering
- Power windows
- Power mirrors
(lot of power...)
- Driver and passager airbag (SRS)
The only things she don't have is the sunroof and A/C.
The motor himself is a 1300cc (1.3l) D13B2 which make 75hp at 6300rpm and 105Nm at 3100rpm. He is powered by a 2-barrel Keihin carburetor, and the speciality of this, is that the carb is managed by an ECU (PGM-CARB) by vacuum and sensors.
Depollution is operated by an oxygen sensor and a catalytic converter.
I feel that enough powerful for daily use (and a bit for sporty driving).
Consumption isn't that bad (for a carb) with 6.5l/100km (I don't know in mpg).
She is completely stock, with 13inch wheels and all that make this look like used by a grandma...
I don't plan to tune it a lot... maybe 14inch wheels, a bullbar and a roof rack...
The repair wasn't expensive at all, since my grandpa have it since 2010:
- new muffler
- new radiator
- new distributor
- new starter
- new thermostat
I have to do:
- new timing kit, cause never was change since 15years
- suspensions
- remove rust in the back fender
