Hey guys, I have a 2000 honda civic ex with the 1.6L engine. We replaced the engine in it recently and have more than verified the connections. I can't get it to start or even prime the fuel pump. I know the ignition works, as well as the starter and fuel pump. I've also replaced the main relay 2 times. The computer was replaced recently with the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Did you replace the engine with a JDM 1.6L engine or USDM version?

 

Does the CEL light come on and off if you turn the key?

Check the ground points in the engine bay. Particularly the one on the thermostat housing and the main on the transmission.

Verified... Anything else that could cause that?
CEL does come on

 

And stays on steady, right?

If so, start by checking whether you forgot to connect the important G101 ground that attaches to the thermostat housing, as mentioned by another member.
