I am replacing my d15 sohc non vtec with a d16z7 or 8, but i have seen people selling a d16z out of a dx civic, i was under the impresion that only d16's were EX models, and the d15's were LX and DX models. I want the EX model, so if anyone can let me know what the entire engine code is, would be great.
Anyone wanna buy a 95 dx motor and tranny only 180k miles? hehe

yes, d16z6 is the 92-95 EX/Si vtec model engine. the d16y7 is the 96 and ^ DX engine, and the d16y8 is the 96 and ^ EX engine.
