Crankshaft bolt tool for 1999 prelude
Hey yall
I'm doing my timing belt but im stuck at the crankshaft bolt removal phase for my 1999 prelude. I got the honda 50mm crankshaft removal tool but I can't put it into the crankshaft because the frame is in the way. Is there another way to put it in? Did I get the wrong part? Do I have to lower the engine or something? I would have tried to put the car in 5th and tell someone to step on the brake but it's an auto. Btw can I even shove a prybar in the hole that's covered by the rubber thing and try to wedge the flywheel to stop the pulley from turning?
Thanks

Thanks for the detailed post and suggestions. 👍I'm gonna try lowering taking off the driver side mount and lowering the engine while supporting it with a jack. And then using that crank pulley tool and a breaker bar and a extension or pipe.
I grabbed a timing belt, balance shaft seal, retainer, cam seals, main seal, water pump, ps and ac belts.
I didn't grab a manual tensioner though.
I'm in Canada so I'm just going to use amazon Canada. is this all I need for the manual tensioner conversion? Or do I need some other parts?

Just an update. I lowered the engine a little bit via loosening the engine mount bolts so I could fit the tool on the crankshaft pulley. That bolt was a *@#&. I had to jack the car higher and then remove wiper fluid reservoir to get more leverage. The used a pipe extension on a breaker bar and stepped on that and it came off. Also use a 6 point socket on the cam shaft bolts. I used a cheap wrench like a dumb *** and rounded some of the edges off.
