Default hello new to site. need help with brake caliper type

Icon5 hello new to site. need help with brake caliper typeHello Honda Owners,
I am looking for help to find out the type of front brake calipers I may have on my car since the car was manufactured.
I have 1990 honda accord 4 door sedan EX model with 5 speed stick.
I need to buy ceramic brake pads for the front , but i need to know what kind of calipers are on the car since built.
Some sites say nissan and others say akebono calipers were manufactured with the car.
I cant tell what they are and trying to buy pads for a mechanic to put the new pads on.
Thank you so much for any help.
Chris

There are various online Honda dealers where you can enter your car's information to look up; some you can even enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) for even more specific reference. For example, Bernardi Honda Parts, Majestic Honda to name a few.

Even without the VIN, based on it being a 1990 EX sedan, with manual transmission, various sites list it as Akebono calipers.

Thank you. I will check the sites you mention. I checked one site and they said Nissin calipers per my vin.
So I hope the sites you mention also say i have Nissin so i can feel confident of the right answer.

akebono is a great brand that makes all sizes and types. Nissan is just a car manufacturer so go with akebono.

Please share name of site that can do a rundown of all parts that match car's vin # or common parts ie, belts, filters that are compatible. Is there even such a site to give battery size, etc...
Thx

You can search for car parts based on VIN at the sites I listed and some other sites on the internet.

For example, entering your VIN at Majestic Honda will allow you to search and see battery size, etc.: https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Then if you rather buy aftermarket, you can use the Honda part numbers, detail, to search via google or other search engines for compatible parts via part # cross-referencing.

There were Akebono and Nissin calipers depending on the model trim. Nissin is different than Nissan. NISSIN KOGYO
