Default B16 idle surge

Well to start I知 a little salty cause I just typed this but lost everything trying to post it lol. Butttt my b16 has code 14 has idle surge, I致e done just about everything to try and fix it, replaced the sensor with new one, cleaned it multiple times, burped cooling system for hours, swapped plugs with iat cause they happen to be the same plug, car has a vaccum gauge on it at wide open throttle sits a 0psi, when I unplug the sensor it idle perfect so I know it has some type of signal at the sensor, I知 starting to think it痴 possibly my ecu I have a p30 currently in

new iacv as in reman/ebay iacv?
i had same code a couple years back. I bought a iacv "reman" from ebay and still had same issue.
swapped out with a oem junkyard iacv and problem solved

when i took off the "reman" ebay iacv, it was bone dry...so i figured is was a bad unit.

good luck

So never ever ever ever, swap those plugs one is a 5v and the other is battery voltage. The IAT sensor is 5v and the IACV is battery voltage. You can damage the ECU doing this. So if you are not sure which is which measure the voltage at the pins to body ground with the key on engine off.

I tried rubbing the p28 without the chip but it like won稚 even drive when I do that

So when you put in another ECU the engine doesn't surge? Why can't you run the chipped P28?

Alright solid question honestly. I was running the chipped p28 for a while but it was lacking power and running a little odd when I plug the p30 in it revs much higher and pulls much harder just surges which drives me crazy

Is the engine modified? If something was changed on the perimeters for engine on the chip due to something being modified then that is probably what is going on. Did you have the car tuned or is it just a chip with some alterations to the factory map?

I got the computer with a shell I purchased before building the car but I used the p30 which I had in my old car, but my engine has tons of bolt ons it has stage 2 bc cams, dc header, 70mm throttle body aem intake, it痴 a b16 swapped ef hatch so I mean I致e spent countless hours on it can稚 get the surge to go away currently replacing my tps because voltage isn稚 adjusting properly in the parameters but I値l keep you updated currently tho still surging

Most likely the ecu based on it working with the P28, It happened to me last month and I finally traced the ECU is the problem with some of the capacitor doesn't measure up when I hook up my ESR meter.
