P04 ECU hondash, is it possible?
Hey guys, I got a EG4 with the P04 ECU and as far as I can tell there is no plug to connect the hondash from the factory, neither the 3 nor the 5 pin connector (if there is, please tell me where, because I removed all the interior from my car and haven't found it yet).
So I went on the hondash website and found out before i bought my hondash that the P04 is Compatible with their product as so:
|OBD| |ID| |Market| |ECU| |Car/Engine|
|OBD1| |238| |EDM| |P04-G00| |D15B2 SOHC|
(their page also tells that it should not be needed to add the 5 pin connector, but that is not the main issue)
Considering that i haven't found the connector, i thought that maybe i can find the communication wire from the ECU and do the wiring myself, but i can't find the correct pinout that shows the correct wires.
have anyone ever done this before?
PS: i have read the entire website, including the "Manual wiring" session and the information is not clear on how to do it with the P04 ECU. It says that it should be as easy as plugging it in, but it is definitely not.

What market is your ECU/car? Hondash' example is for a German (G00) manual P04 ECU. In Germany the P04 appears to have come in an OBD1 flavor. Maybe yours is pre OBD1?
So German I am assuming (G02)?
Looking on the 2nd link you posted, it shows some 5th gen civics had OBD0 P04 ecu's in the EDM market (G0x). By the sounds of it, you have an OBD0 ecu and I noticed on Hondash's compatibility page all the OBD0 ecu's are crossed out meaning not compatible

well, that's messed up... i've read that to do a obd0 to obd1 conversion i need to do an entire DPFI to MPFI swap, so that's not gonna happen for a long time. thanks anyway
