Default Need help with b16 N/A build

Hi everyone,I'm think to swap the stock d16 with a b16a or a b18c and while the engine is still out it would be the right time to do some upgrades.I want to hear some recommendations about rods and piston(I want to see compression around 12:1) and I'm concerned about the valve train because I dont know if it's a good idea to mix different companies
I would like to see around 220 if possible with the b16.Any recommendations?

I would suggest a B18c for those goals.
220 HP is old news these days, You can hit those numbers easily on a stock B18c1 engine, have the engine rebuilt fresh using JDM ITR pistons to raise the compression. Have the cylinder head ported and run Pro1 cams and good intake manifold and good header and 2.5'' exhaust, run it on e85 and you should make those numbers and have a fun simple setup i do believe i made 216 on a very similar setup many years ago.

thanks for responding what compression did you had in your motor?also did you run after market rods?and what about the valve train(I'm think want to go with a skunk2 tuner3 or do you this pro1 is suitable for long term power upgrades it an upgrade over the stock b18c and will I have any clearance issues?

Comp. was around 11:5 or something cant remember but you can use this link to check different combos,

Honda B-Series Compression Calculator by ZealAutowerks

Stock rods that were shot peened for extra strength.

Use the recommended VT for the cams you use! Pro 1's make great power but you need good oil as its hard on the rocker pads. Skunk2 Tuner 2 cams will be another great option for you and will make good power and less aggressive on VT, Tuner 3 are very aggressive and you dont need that.

As long as your valve lash is set to spec for the cams used you should be good but having the cams degreed by a tech is the best thing to do for best results. Then on the dyno while being tuned the Tuner can safely adjust the cams for optimal performance.

Are these power levels at the crank or at the wheels?
