Shift lock/trans not engaging
Greetings, I have a 2005 Element 2wd automatic. My wife drove it mostly and said it was a dog. In addition to header/exhaust I sent the ECU out and had a programable chip installed.
I had driven and parked the car out of the way while the ECU was getting modified. After reinstalling the ECU and putting a tune in it the vehicle started up, made me happy.
However the shift lock won't dis-engage when I press the brake, so I pulled the small clip and manually released the shift lock. The transmission won't engage either, in any gear, forward or back, just acts like it's in neutral.
I spoke to the company who did the ECU modifications and they said they would not have effected the trans at all. I looked for any disturbed wiring that could have gotten unplugged, all good. Checked fuses too.
Does anyone have any ideas? Experienced anything similar? Matters of fact= it was driven to where it sits now, so shift lock and trans worked before removing the ECU. BTW the reason it was parked is because the ECU on an Element seem to be coded for security. I did get a used ECU to install and be able to continue driving the vehicle while the original ECU was getting modified, but it wouldn't run with the used ECU This is why it was parked where it is, for the sake of not being able to drive it without the original ECU.
I'm really at a loss of what to do next? Thanks in advance for any ideas you have!!

I pulled my horn fuse the other day and then forgot to put it back in and my shift interlock didn't work until I put it back in so does the horn work
