Hi. I'm new here n hope I'm doing this right. So, I went to get into my civic, and discovered that someone had tried to steal it. They broke everything.. I mean everything in the ignition region. So, I went to local junk yard and pulled an ecu and ignition from exact same vehicle. Installed it and when I turn he key, nothing. Not even dash lights. So I got to looking and there seems to be a broken plastic piece under Neath in between the key hole and the ignition switch ..on both the old and new one..what is it? Obviously what's preventing ignition. Thanks in advance!

 

Are you referring to the Immobilizer Control Unit-Receiver as shown in this photo?
