Hi everyone. Going to get started on this soon and wanted a spot to document the process and hopefully get a little help along the way. Here's the 3 cars I am using to get where I'm going. I'm betting most will know the purpose each car will have in this little project.
The target car:
Engine, engine bits and brakes from my low mile 87 integra:
Wiring harness, fuel tank and engine management components from my 86 crx si:
Unfortunately the integra is an automatic so I had to purchase a newly reconditioned CG gearbox from Midwest Transmission in MN. Should be here next week.
Assumptions for this project:
1. I can't use the 1500s fuel tank as it is not a fuel injection car.
2. I can use the integra axles even though they are from an automatic.
3. Apparently the shift linkage for the d16a1 needs the integra unit. As i don't have one, I will be able to modify the 1500s. Lengthen, shorten, bend, etc.
4. I will need to source an 86 or 87 integra manual ecu as the automatic one will not work well and the crx si ecu is also not optimum for the d16a1.
5. I will need to source a manual throttle body as the automatic will not work.
I've read most the articles on doing this job but any tips would be really appreciated. Will try to post regularly. Thanks. Troy.

Thanks for the input Ken. Can't wait to get started.
