Car problem No Start Update, advise please
Hi there, I made a 2 minute video explaining the whole thing, please watch it here and let me know what you think is going on. I disconnected the cat but still no start, something else is wrong!
Definitely sound abnormal. Major valve adjustment needed. Look at condition of spark plugs. Personally I would check for correct timing and do valve adjustment.
spark?
Fuel?
Compression?
Air?
Timing?

Timing?
I should be able to check the timing later when my mechanic friend shows up.
So far i know the timing belt is attached because I removed the distributor cap and watched it rotate as I tried to start it.
I also removed the rubber air intake and still same no start symptoms.
I also grounded one of the spark plug wire boots to check for spark and yes, they are sparking, and the spark plugs are new.
I initially thought it was a plugged exhaust but after I removed the cat, like in the video, it still won't start.
I figure its getting fuel because of the pops I hear when I try to start it, plus I can hear the fuel pump engage
Still need to check
- correct timing
- compression
- fuel injectors
