1997 accord se 2.2l 4dr build help
alright so this isnt something i usually do but this pandemic sucks and i dont have many other car enthusiasts to chat with so i would love to hear peoples ideas and opinions on a build.
first off lets talk about the drivertrain, frok what ive learned is that when it comes to hondas alot would choose to k swap but im thinking of using an h22. Sadly i dont know the pros and cons of either engine.
what i want to build isnt something my brain can figure out alone so heres where i want to take this build
i want an awd 500-600 hp sleeper/daily. My main focus will be on the suspension and weight distribution. As for the engine of course i want to have a turbo but also would love to know if any honda engine can be converted to run off methanol, i do plan to reduce on weight but that is last on my list so i wouldnt worry about that.
whatever ideas or advice i can get will surley be appreciated and also just to hear others ideas helps with having to stay indoors all day so i hope to hear from yall soon

I don't know that you will receive much here. This isn't really, for the most part, a racing platform, most of us are repairing our cars here. However, there are some people who have modded their cars, and to be frank, 300 is about as good as you will get with a regular person's budget and effort, which is still quite significant.
Because of this, most people won't even waste time responding to this type of request as it's mostly moron or ignorance or just wasting of time since what it takes to build a motor of this caliber on this platform is significant cash, meaning about $20,000 for what you want to do. Since this is such a cheap car today and not exactly a popular platform, very very few people will put that kind of money into thi kind of car. So, can it be done, sure, will most people who come on here spend that kind of money, no. And at that power and will AWD you still have to build a strong transmission to go with it, and as you mentioned, a lot of very custom suspension work.
With all that said, my best advice is talk to real experts that make engines in the horspower range you want , and see if you really want to spend your time building this. My starting suggestion with whom to talk to would be here:
https://www.kmodperformance.com/prod...r-700whp-turbo
They make engines in the range you want, and take to you though eveything else you will need: engine, trans, suspension, fuel management, rollcage, tires, etc. Like I said it will easily cross $20k and could end up double that in the end.
Personally, I would say don't waste your time, it's not the right platform. And, again personally, if you are going to hop up your car, I would pick a different level of power, maybe 250, and you will probably a lot happier in the long run instead of blwing such a wad on a car with no purpose.

Sell it and buy a civic. What you're wanting is a pipe dream that's not realistically attainable in an Accord chassis. Lower your expectations or move on.
If you want AWD in an Accord you basically have to go K. There are no readily available H series transmissions that can be adapted for AWD. Either way you're talking $$$$$$ when there are better platforms to start with if that's your goal. If you don't know the differences between an H and a K a build like this definitely isn't for you.
