H23 question's................
waz up?
I have a 98 prelude.... MY question is if the h23 block has to be resleeve for aftermarket pistons. I planning to run my direct plate system with 150- 175 shot. I heard if i were to place a h23 block on my motor , i was told that i would gain more TQ to the wheel. i just want to know if this a good idea or should i think about a different route. My plan is a h23 block with JE pistion ,eagle rods, and 150 -175 direct port plate system

The H23 will make more torque, it has a longer stroke. I made 160wtq with an H23 VTEC setup...which is about 20wtq more than most comparable H22 all motor setups...
As long as you're getting aftermarket rods/pistons/sleeves it will hold up, but I wouldn't want to rev it tooooo high.

if i were to use ARP bolts ( i think hat the name) for the rods to hold better would it run a lil bit better and safer. When i get aftermarket pistons for the h23 do i use the H23 compression ratio or do i use the h22?

Yeah 160 at the WHEELS. That's about 190 lbs-ft of torque at the crank.
And the stock rating on an h22a is 158 or 156 depending on the year
