So I tried to install the JDM console and I can get it to fit on the top, but the bottom will not slide in with the center console in place. When the center console is not in place it will fit. Jts crazy there are literally no instructions anywhere on here, other sites, or YouTube. I feel like the cup holder has to be removed in order for it to fit? Anybody know?
Try this. If anyone has a COMPLETE document like this for a 92-95 Fog Light install, I would appreciate it.
Well...that cleared it right up and makes perfect sense, thanks! Finally a picture showing how it installs. I'll take some photos in a bit of my situation and post.
So I removed the shifter console and you are right the cup holder is held on by 4 screws as shown. I didn't see those last time I had it off. Upon review of the install manual, I have the center console itself but I'm missing the bottom bracket and the 2 side brackets. I guess I'll start hunting on eBay... in the meantime, it sits in place just fine, only thing thats wierd is the gap between it and the dash seems like it shouldn't be there. I'll mess with it..
That's the one I'd love to have but seems that particular styled one is running 500 bucks or more now a days.
Also might add, I believe that's the ultra rare USDM double din not the JDM. From my understanding, the JDM is right hand drive so the lighter is on the left not the right.
This console is unlike any JDM double-din console that I have ever seen. Interestingly, it only has a single-din accessory slot above the ash tray and cigarette lighter/accessory socket... and has a lower "cubby" area much like that found in the USDM EK style center consoles. I also notice the strange gap between the top side edges of the console and the dash panel... which I cannot explain since all dash panels are similar regardless of what body style EG they come in. I am thinking this is actually a USDM optional lower console which would hold the single CD player that is linked to the OE AM/FM Cassette head unit mounted just above in the dash.

My JDM double-din lower center console was purchased brand new years ago from Steve at HMO... the lighter socket is on the right side just like the console pictured above. TomCat39, do you have any images that of the console that you are looking for ?
I found another right side lighter, and now I think those are from Australia. The have the same LHD as US but also had the higher trim accessories of JDM. This would support USDM not having them but still being available for LHD. The Honda Civic Type R I saw a couple of years ago came from Australia, Looked like the Integra but badged as Honda. I'm willing to bet all the right hand lighter consoles came from Australia market but everyone claimed it to be JDM.
I actually picked it up on ebay a couple months back...it was around $200. Here's another listed for $289. It says JDM EDM...not sure where its from...
