One brake light issue
The right taillight works but the right brake light does not. Is this correct? If so, check whether the brake light terminal in the socket gets battery voltage.
Ah, that's different from the Civic. Check for voltage at the socket terminals. Compare voltage using either the socket ground terminal or the chassis as ground.
I'm working on narrowing down a taillight issue and I'm finding conflicting info about taillight part numbers. I'm seeing both 2057 and 1156 as taillight/brake lights. The bulbs I pulled out were 1156. 2057s would not physically fit in the socket. Is there a trick to get the 2057s in the socket? I eyeballed it the best I could but I see no way for the bulb to catch in the cutout in the socket.

93 Del Sol. Right side tail light is good but will not illuminate during braking. Bulb is good and works 100% on the left side (both tail and brake light), swapped to right and only half-*** works. Any ideas?
With a stick or broom have the brake pedal depressed Use a test light to see if you have power on the feed wire to the brake light circuit and then ground to the socket. You can use the working brake light as a reference to compare. You can test for the ground by using the power wire (if you have it or use the power wire going to the tailight as a power source) and then touch the housing for ground---which I suspect you have since the taillight works. If not power on the power feed wire get a schematic or physically work you way back to brake pedal/fuse box checking points along the way to see where you loose the power.
