I have had this Sol for a number of years and as of last week i started to do a head gasket on it. I now have the car all put back together and everything seems to function aside from the power windows which i never touched during the process. When i press the switch i can hear a click from under the dash and another from the window im trying to put down. I have already tried the passenger side window switch which has the same result. I also toggled the window lock out switch both ways aswell as everywhere in between but also got no results. Anyone know what the issue here is? From the clicking i dont think its a fuse issue, and i must stress everything worked perfectly before i removed the head.
TLDR: When i press the window switch i can hear a click up under the dash and another at whatever window im trying to control. The windows dont actually go down tho, this is the same for all 3.
Check for broken wires in the right and left door jamb connectors. It's an extremely common problem when Civics and Del Sols get old.
Also check the fuses for the right and left power window motors in the dash fuse box. In the power window circuit, these two fuses are downstream of the power window relay.
I replaced fuses 5,7, and 8 already with new 20a busman fuses to no avail. I thought about the problem being in the door jam aswell i had that issue with my 99 CRV. So i tried opening and closing the drivers door while holding the switch to see if i could get it to trigger for a second also nothing. Will have to wait for morning b4 i can look further into the jams and unwrap the harness there.
Next step as of now is to pull the power window relay (C-914) and test it. The strangest part is i can hear the click at each window like it wants to work it just doesnt.
:edit:edit: Just noticed fuse 14 + 15 are also a power window fuses, so i will replace those aswell i guess.

Reason: fuse 15
The relay is fine if fuses 5, 7 and 8 have battery voltage when you turn the key to ON(II). Test that.
The relay would not click if fuse 14 were blown.
If you have the power window circuit diagram for your Del Sol, post it.
Forgive the double post but big update, i pulled and opened the relay up as it seemed like a quick and easy check, and it was filled with water!? I have no idea how or why but my best guess is the car leaked in some new way due to the angle it was sitting on the jackstands. Kind of looks like its been like that for awhile but i never notice water in the footwell. Very strange, ima clean it up and soak it in IPA.
Figured out my 99 CRV has the same relay but used for the rear defrost i believe. Swapped it over and just like that all the windows work again. I also ordered another off ebay to replace the damaged one, the part number is 056700-7250 for future readers.
Now to find the water leak before this happens again.... TYVM muellersfan for your help, appreciate it!
