Default Louder Exhaust with full length exhaust system? Is this better?

I have been recently wanting to make my racecar a little louder for next season. I know turbo cars are generally quiet regardless but mine seems to be substantially quieter than others. My current exhaust setup is a cast log top mount manifold with a bumper exit exhaust about 3ft long off the turbo. The wastegate has an open dump straight to the ground next to the oil pan. Some people mentioned if i went tubular manifold id gain a ton of flow and some sound. Another exhaust guy told me if I had a much longer exhaust (ran to the rear) it would be noticeably louder than my bumper exit. Just wanted some input on this before I take the time to redo my exhaust.

Agreed. My full exhaust definitely tames the fun noises down.

4 inch full length straight pipe. No muffler at the end. Cast manifold also kills some of the sound too...

That was the only thing I was trying to avoid being that some organizations don't allow it.

The.housing exhaust backpressure would be stupid insane.
No advantage in running a 4 inch. Just get a nice Thermal R&D and be done

Bigger exhaust = more backpressure?

No. in the exhaust manifold. The exhaust piping would relieve some of it, but not worth the change over. Decent 1.5" primary runners with a 3" full length exhaust. Done. No re-inventing the wheel.

Running a tubular manifold would free up power and also change the exhaust note to a higher pitch.

He asked for extra sound. Plus 4" will not kill power over 3". And 4" is a lot louder.

Thank you! Yes it's powdercoated. We tried to get it to match the strut bar.

I currently run a BC spec2 setup and it sounds mean as hell. It isn't overly loud or obnoxious, but it makes your presenceknown when you dig in. It isn't a 4" system either. I replaced my old setup (2.75" straight) with that one. Now the 2.75 i ran once while still NA and WTF, was it loud. Lol! After boosting, I discovered the turbo plays a big part in muffling exhaust sound pret-ty well.. Not sure how loud you're looking to go though. FWIW, the snail will muffle a big portion of your exhaust sound. The larger pipe you go, the better you hear the turbo. Same as resonators, cat, etc. The more you got, the quieter you sound. Get rid of all, if possible. 1 small resonator and straight through muffler on a catless 2.5-3" setup sounds damn good.

Yeah I don't think I can get it much louder. It's a GTX3076R with a 3" bumper exit straight pipe 3ft long with an open dump wastegate. It's just extremely quiet at the track compared to the Porsche's and other turbo cars.

The only things that I could think of that would make it louder would be a tubular manifold or head work ie. larger cams or oversize valves.

or a vtec head

That's what I'm thinking.
