1999 Honda Accord
So my 1999 honda accord makes a rattling noise when I drive down bumpy streets. I don't know what it could be. Also when I turn my A/C on it starts shaking a little. Does anyone why this could b happening?
You say it's a rattling noise going down a ruff street. Can you explane the sound any better. Does it sound like it's from the front or back, left or right?
How does the car steer? Is it diferant when it makes the noise or the same?
You say when you turn the AC on it starts to shake. What shakes? The streeing wheel, the tires, the complete car?
The more information, the more likely you are to get the right information. How Manny miles on the tires? How many miles on the car? How many miles on the struts? Overall what is the condition of the body (like rust or hits )? When was the last time the suspension was inspected? When was the last time the engine and transmission mounts were checked?
Can you give more information?

When did this start?
Did you have an alignment done after putting the new tires on?
The only thing I can think of that would maybe make the whole car sake when you put the AC on is bad engine and transmission mounts. But it's more of a guess.
It could also be your suspension.
But in either event it should not come and go just by the AC being on or off.
Still would help to know if your speed does not matter, of if it's ay at certain speeds or RPM.
All I can say is don't wait for an answer that sounds right. Take it to a mechanic you trust. If it is the suspension or the mounts waiting could end in disaster.
I'm not trying to scare you. But not getting it looked at, at the very least could get more expensive.
It could break something critical, or just chew up your new tires.
Again, the more you can tell us the better we can guess at the issue.
But understand without looking over the car and so on, it's just a guess. The info is still very limited.
I hope you get it fixed and if you find out what it is, please let us know.

Lik the above poster, we are just guessing until you can inspect and check some areas further.
Common rattles at this age car would be:
suspension: specifically, shocks, sway bar end links woud be the first thing I would think, other parts I would think would make the car behave oddly
braking: brake pads could be low and getting a little loose, causing a rattle
undercarriage pieces: at this age a lot of the plastic holding clips have fallen out, so all those plastic pieces could be flapping and rattling
The air con turning on and shaking could be motor mounts.
First thing is to really go over the car as best you can within your ability, check for cracked hoses, wiggle parts to see if parts are loose, get under the car and tap with a hammer on areas to see if you can get the rattle to happen. Pull the wheel and check the brakes. examine the tie rods for looseness or wiggle, the steering rack boots and items like that and see what's up.

I want to guess this looks like fun..
A/c shaking when turned on..
-The Fixed Orifice Tube has clogged the high side is over pressure and about to EXPLODE!!
Rattles down bumpy street
- Items lose in trunk.

Now that I re-read that, if the car feels like it's going to jump, it's suspension somehwhere. you want to check tie rods, sway bar end links, dead shocks, broken springs. Also lift tire off ground and see if it wiggles, even a loose tie rod could cause this. Possibly a broken lower control arm as well or bad /dead bushing in anything connected to front wheel. I wouldn't wait too long, that doesn't sound safe.

Yeah make a video , I want a video .
If you unload the suspension, jack it up. Grab the wheel at 3 and 9 o clock. Tug it back fourth rocking. Feel and look at each tie rod , bushing. Without the car weight it will be easy to find.
A sway bar bushing fail can rattle something awful.
