Yes, there is a company that makes a universal paddle shifter kit for all automatics:
You need this:
https://paceperformance.com/i-238601...ontroller.html
and this:
https://paceperformance.com/i-238363...h-display.html
But I would call them to make sure you have all the parts necessary.
Good luck.

I believe it was the same transmission as the 98-02 USDM H/F series, which would mean you wouldn't need the complete transmission just the harness/PCM/shifter to get similar functionality. But you will need to verify that. If you have emissions testing, this will not be an option as the JDM PCM will not communicate with USDM OBDII.
For the 90-97(USDM) you could manually shift the transmission via control of the shift solenoids as the various computations of ON/OFF would select the various gears. But to integrate that as well as maintain normal automatic control via the TCU would be a bit more work. There are various aftermarket controllers and stand alone units out there to allow paddle shifting. If you go this route the biggest item you would want to copy from the original TCU programing is the grade logic for the TC lockup functionality.
Crazy.
The way, is to start with a manual transmission vehicle.
My neighbor bought his 5 speed 96 Accord for $800. Clean body 120k. ...He spent over $1200 on wheels for it from Tirerack.
Cargurus has 3 of them within 100 miles.
