H22 Swap won't stay running
I just did a H22A swap on my 91 prelude si. It starts, revs up, and doesn't stay running. I grounded the main relay, I'm running a P13 ECU and Wireworx harness. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Grounds are clean.
I'm still stumped on what's causing this. I adjusted the tps properly. It starts check engine light comes on then dies. I can't get the car to flash the code by jumping the obd1 plug. Any ideas here on how to get it to flash the code would be nice.
You could try determining which pins on the ecu harness are the two that are intended to be shorted together to reveal codes and shorting the pins on the ecu directly. You would have to be sure and careful but this would remove any issues where the obd1 short connector wasn't connected to the right pins on the ecu.
I'm triple checking the wiring job. I was going to directly jump the check engine light wires and I let my alternator wire ground out. So not getting anything tonight without that big fuse. I'm starting to think it's the crank sensor in the distributor, it's an eBay one. I'm getting another to try Wednesday.
Ok I can get it running and stay running with a little gas, it vibrates, CEL is on but I can't check it, a couple pops and sputters, seems to rev up fine, after it reved down then back up the oil light started flashing. This is bugging the hell out me
Ok I plugged my map sensor in from my 91 Integra. It stays running but surging really high then back down over and over. I wasn't able to ignition time it. No CEL shows up now. I'm guessing I need a different map sensor? Still no tachometer reading.

Surging up and down is likely a vacuum leak and not the MAP sensor. No tachometer reading is a wiring problem assuming that your tachometer worked before the swap.
