extended top hates on tein basics
hi im about to order some things basics and was woundering if i would benefit from using extended top hats or are the just good for a spring shock combo. Thanks

i assume you have a 90's honda?
but really no, top hats arent made for other coilovers arent really going to help.
what they do is move the shock travel range higher in the shock, giving more margin of internally bottoming out, and potentially giving back some shock travel IF the shock body can actually fit inside the top hat, as they were designed to work with standard OEM-like shocks.
if you use top hats with coilovers not designed to work with, youre really just removing a lot of useful shock travel. the coilover should have just come with a shorter piston....
