Hey everyone. Been lurking on this site a while, and love how easy it is to access accurate information from people who know from first hand experience. Worked on repairing Honda's in a little 2 bay shop for years, but never have had any personal experience in the upgrade/building department. Mostly just collision repair and paint. Just bought a 97EK LS swapped Civic and absolutely love it. As i build my knowledge about common Honda swaps and upgrades, I hope to tastefully build my daily driver up to maybe stage 2. Honestly, I think 240-275hp range would be everything I could ever need. I'm not looking to drag or track race, just have the power and handling to make me grin every time i get in and out of my car, and occasionally make my hot little gf wet herself on some mountain back roads. Currently researching and trying to decide whether it is more economically feasible and the work doable myself to build an LS|V
TEC, or build the LS NA through say Skunk2 stage cams and valve train, or instead just swap for a B20. I dont frequently have a lot of cash to throw at a project, but do well in buying selling and trading on Facebook to get what I need. So I'm hoping with a little patience, a good amount of luck, and some nose to the grindstone self education on what you guys have learned from experience, that i can slowly yet correctly build my Civic in the fast *** ride I know it can be. Any advice or information from those who have come before me, is not only very much appreciated, but your knowledge and experience is also very much respected. Hoping to grow into a contributing member of the site. Thanks!
