Default Help 94 Del Sol down!!

I was driving on the freeway and once I got on the off ramp my car suddenly dies on me electrical is still working just engine straight up died and I tried popping the clutch and nothing, so the starter won’t engage and I don’t know what caused the vehicle to suddenly die, any help would be great, also checked the alternator and battery and they are fine.

I have had my Distributor literally not bolted back on after I got it back from the shop and come loose when I got on the freeway causing the engine to shut off confusing me till I realized the dizzy was loos..lol

Your rotor inside the distributor may have broke off its happened before.

If pop starting doesn't work look into the Mechanical timing and make sure the belt did not skip. This can happen and cause the engine not to start.

well I checked my timing belt only to find out it tore apart not to shreds but it did tear itself and now I’m going to change that and maybe it will turn on after that. Thanks for giving me the idea about the timing belt being off!

well I put on the new timing belt and adjusted the timing on the dizzy, but now she won’t start up like before, I have to pop it on but still idles very low that it won’t stay on for long I hear clicking in the wires when I remove them from the spark plugs but when I remove the ones in the center I get no response from the engine as if they don’t matter and yet I hear clicking from the wires, does this mean the plugs are bad?!

Double check the mechanical timing. If fine, compression test the cylinders.

FYI - Never remove plug wires with engine running. It's a very efficient way to blow the ignition coil.
