Default Mb6 kswap issues

Wondering if anyone can help, ive installed a k20a2 in my mb6 vti-s
i’ve connected the ecu up and conversion harness, went to start it and I don’t get any dash lights in ignition position 2, there’s power to the clocks as the fuel gauge rises but nothing else, then when I go to start it there’s a click but nothing else.
car previously had a b18c4 in and electrics worked fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

dead battery? did you try to jump a 12v connection to the smaller connector on the starter?
