'95 Honda Accord:

Mechanic estimates $700 to replace gas tank and $500-$700 to redo gas lines (he apparently cannot buy the lines and has to make from a kit). I know very little about cars and just moved to a new city so no longer can take to my regular mechanic. Also low on cash and had to have towed, so can't really take elsewhere for second opinion. Just looking for feedback on whether this price sounds reasonable - not sure whether I would get the work done even if it is. Also new to this site so hope I'm posting in the right forum.
