Civic EG swapped with CF engine
Always wondered how hard it would be to upgrade to this swap! I was thinking it would be a much better swap than the D16A replacement I got for my 2000 civic.. at $150 less on Hmotors.com and Vtec that seemed a better option but I wanted a easy plug and play replacement.
It is getting popular here as you can find much clean and less mileage CF engines then the old d series.
I don't know why these newer d series are unpopular everywhere else.
One benefit I can see is they have coil over plugs which is much better than the old school distributor system
The guy dropped an R18 into an eg civic for a customer and just wanted to share. It wasn't something he wanted to do, it was something the customer wanted. Thats HT for ya....
