@00 accord A/C clutch not engaging
I have a 2000 Accord 3.0L with an A/C not engaging . I checked all points .But have no power at relay line side ??? I do not have a blown fuse or bad relay ,The controls work as far as fans and blower fan.Can it be the Fan blower resistor or the thermal switch ? And how do I test the thermal switch ?
Have you checked the "freon" to see if you are low? I believe that can also cause the ac not to engage, when too high or too low. Probably just checking the obvious, but it's happened to me.
I took a wire from the battery to the load side of the relay socket . That will check the continuity from relay socket to compressor . The problem is i have no voltage to the line side of the relay socket .Not the coil but the switched part of the relay . Line is hot (12VDC), load is compressor side .It kicked in . Fuses have been checked all is good., Relays are all good !
Ist here a hidden fuse someplace maybe?or an i looking at an open wire from fuse to relay ?
