I am the proud owner of a 2017 Honda Civic 2 door. In July 2019 Honda replaced my complete engine as it had a catastrophic failure. One year later the same has happened again. This time Honda will do nothing for me as my car has now exceeded the 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. However the1 year engine that Honda replaced has less than 20,000 miles. I had the oil changed regularly and when I set off on my trip to Arizona and back my oil life was still 30%. My car stopped working just outside of Palm Springs, no warnings no check engine light until it all went bad. The first engine problem was apparently caused by a bad turbo, that's what I was told, and this time it was caused by a severe oil leak. you would hope that Honda would help out to some degree, but alas not the case and I am holding the bag for another engine!
