this is a special construction rock crawler that uses a Honda b20b engine and a unknown transmission.
this is a solenoid that came off what is believed to be a 1st generation CR-V transmission, there are zero markings to ID the transmission & the local Honda dealer thinks it a JDM transmission.
the only markings are 10924
i have had no luck in searching for what this is
does anyone out there have any insights into what this is...?
Probably an older transmission maybe off an early LS integra. The black paint with gold zinc under it as well as the old style wire makes me think pre 1993.
Is it running a stock engine computer? Is there a separate transmission controller? That might help narrow down what the transmission came out of.
Something strange is going on there. Looks like maybe an adapter plate is between the engine and transmission? That second picture there is a missing bolt on the bell housing on the block and there is an extra bolt below the oil pan rail. And that transmission mount going up does not look like a Honda mounting location.
Also the differential is sitting LOW. CV joints would be above the oil pan rails on a typical Honda engine and transmission combo. Guess it could be a clocked Honda transmission?
Looks like a clocked Honda transmission but I have no idea what it is out of. The motor mount on the differential housing is throwing me off. I am not aware of anything that put the mount on top of the differential case. Most of them are on the side of the case. You have the bosses but they don't seem to be drilled and tapped.
I am not 100% sure what transmission that is but it does seem similar to the S4MA. That is bolted to D16. Should be super common and cheap to find an automatic for a 92-2000 Civic.
They certainly won't have the same mount configuration. Newly fabricated mounts will be required. And then the electronics for transmission control might be very different.
