So I bought some detent springs for my b series trans, when i took out the two bolts with springs and the ball bearing i was expecting it to fall out but instead it's stuck inside the bolt with the spring. Any ideas of removing it or is there a place where i can get new bolts and bearings.

 

You can get new ***** or springs from your local Honda dealership... there should be a small hole in the detent bolt that you can use a pick to push the ball out.

 

... by the way, the reason the ball is stuck in the end of the detent bolt is because the bolt was torqued improperly... as in "too tight".

 

Thanks, I tried getting something thin enough to fit in the hole. Only thing small enough was a paperclip, didn't budget though. Are they the same price to buy locally or cheaper online on genuine honda parts website?

 

Order a new bolt, bearing and crush washer from your local Honda dealer.
