Code 43!! Intermittent cel, sputtering intermittently
92 Honda Accord ex 2.1l 265,285 miles I purchased it last month, and there were no cel lights on.
sputtering, jerking, loss of power, sometimes on acceleration.. happens at various speeds..mostly idles fine, starts fine.
Changed fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, dist cap, air filter, oil, Throttle position sensor cleaned map.
Majority of posts say failing 02 sensor, but why is it no throwing 02 sensor code??
Fuel supply system could be anything really?? Right?
Also have had D4 codes 2, ,3.
Oh and it seems to shift late sometimes around 30 to 35 mph.
gets 15 to 17 mpg.
Any advise would be appreciated!!
Thanks

Code 43 most of the time will usually be due to the oxygen sensor.

Could this 43 error code be clogged or faulty injectors?
We are going to check 02 sensor, FPR vac hose for fuel.
When it does the sputtering thing if I step on the gas hard it clears up and takes off.. then the cel lights up. When I shut car off and on again cel is not light until it sputters again.
Any help would be appreciated!

The service manuals, documents, etc. that were available for earlier Hondas; related to the conditions that set certain trouble codes were not always detailed.
Code 1 is a problem in O2 sensor circuit.
Code 41 is related to the O2 sensor heater circuit
Code 43 is a problem in the O2 sensor circuit, or a problem in the fuel supply system.
Code 43 can be an O2 sensor code; but, it can be fuel supply too. Code 41 is somewhat different as it supposedly relates to the heater circuit of the heated O2 sensor. There are times when Code 43 is the only code that is stored for an issue with the O2 sensor. Regardless, even with all generations of Hondas, trouble codes are more to help narrow the areas where the problem may be. Generally, tests should be done instead of just replacing parts. But, sometimes tests can also be inconclusive.
