Default 1999 Acura 3.0 CL restoration

I picked up this car to be a cheap work commuter back in January of this year. The interior was in great shape, didn't have a lot of miles and had been maintained by a former Acura technician. It had been well well taken care of, but appeared to have sat outside for a lot of its life. The clear was peeling off all over, lots of door dings and a small spot of rust on one of the quarter panels. My plan was just to paint the hood and front bumper then do a little polishing on the rest of it. My co-workers asked me why I didn't just paint the whole thing? I had two other vehicles I could drive, work was a little slow....so I gave in to peer pressure. Three months later, I had a much better looking CL.

I picked up a set of 18" Gewalt Evolution wheels, some D2 coilovers, a set of component speakers front and rear and a new Alpine Bluetooth head unit with 12" sub and amp. Also recently installed an OEM sunroof visor and have a set of OEM fog lamps I'm working on cleaning up for it. I can finally drive it to and from work comfortably!

Nice work, the car looks like it's in really good shape. The CL makes a great daily driver, especially with the V6.

I daily drove my 2.2CL from '03 to '13 and got it up to 303k miles. It's been parked outside for the past 7 years, but I'm now just starting to restore it. Hopefully I can get it looking as good as yours.
