Default Broken Exhaust Pipe

Hi,

I started my 2009 Honda Civic today and it sounded louder than normal, especially when accelerating.
I went to take a look at the muffler and exhaust system only to discover first that the muffler moves. I then discovered that the pipe leading from the muffler to the resonator was completely severed.
Is this an expensive repair? I’ve attached a picture below. Thanks in advance!

It depends on how much of the rest of the exhaust system is rotted out. I don't think it would cost you more than two or three hundred at the most. If you don't mind not keeping it fully OEM, you can take it to a muffler shop and they can replace all of the broken or rusted sections and weld it back up for you. It cost me less than $100 to get a new muffler installed, and around $70 a few months later to get a resonator done on one of my older Civics.

Best to call around for a few quotes.
