2000 Civic LX gauges move when blinker on
Hey all, I’ve got a weird one.
I purchased a 2000 Civic LX a while back and it’s served me well, but there’s one big issue I want to start trying to figure out.
When the blinker is on; my tach and temp gauges bounce up and down and my fuel gauge (fuel gauge doesn’t work well at all) will rise and stick at the top. It doesn’t matter if it’s left or right, it does the same thing with both blinkers.
The fuel gauge doesn’t seem to register at all and I’m not sure if it’s the float, sending unit, or the gauge itself.
In addition to the above, when I kick my high beams on all the mentioned gauges kick to the top and stay there.
Anyone have any suggestions? I’m curious if I swapped out the instrument cluster if I’d have a similar problem or it would correct itself. Where would I even start? If it’s possibly a short do any of you have suggestions On how I’d diagnose it? I really don’t want to take it to a mechanic for this as it’s an old car used for commuting. I don’t want to sink a ton of cash into it.
Thanks all!

Remove 10A dash fuse 4 or 10A dash 5 or both.
Push light switch to the high beams position.
Does removing one or both fuses prevent the gauges from kicking to the top?
