Hey yall, so I’m having this new issue with my civic. It started out of nowhere and it doesn’t happen all the time. When I press down on the clutch pedal, whether I’m in gear or neutral sometimes my car idle lows. Another thing that had happened twice to me is that I will be shifting up gears and as soon as I press on my clutch, the revvs drop and my car just stalls. Theres no jerking involved. Its like the rpms don’t catch on(if that makes sense). I will be trying to shift up and the revvs will completely drop to a dead vehicle(besides the accessories being on). I don’t think its the alternator or the battery b/c like I said everything else stays on, its just the engine that dies. I am not getting a CEL or any other light on my dash. Two nightd ago, when I was trying to park my car. It would just stall right away. I tried testing this out further by turning the car on and stepping on the clutch soon after. Dead stall. This is without me moving my shift ****. I replaced my IACV a few months ago because my revvs were all over the place when pressing on the gas. I took the car out for a drive today and the issue wasn’t there. It comes without warning and it doesn’t happen consistently enough for me to be able to diagnose it. I’ve read it could be a throw out bearing maybe going out soon. But before I change my whole clutch(which I am ready to do). Anything else I should check? I don’t know how old my clutch is since i bought the vehicle back in October and its been a reliable car. I also don’t want to replace my clutch and then find out that the issue is still not resolved. The video is me stepping on the clutch right after starting my car.
