Default Suggestions needed: B-series Clutch for street strip use at 400whp

Going to end up throwing a turbo kit on the wifes gsr ek 4dr. Shooting for around 400. Stock everything except head studs. Looking for a clutch mostly for Street, but the occasional tracks days (Drag/Circuit) What are you guys using that takes the abuse with minimal pedal effort? Have thought of Super singles, but not sure of pedal effort/abuse and I think a twin might be overkill, but I know she will be used to the power and want to turn it up eventually. Would love to buy only once if possible.

ACT HD/SS

DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT get a 6-puck clutch. You will hate yourself, especially if you deal with stop and go traffic.

I initially feared the 6-puck, but honestly the Competition Stage 4 isn't bad at all. I haven't tried the one you suggested though, NV, so I may not know what I'm missing out on as far as minimal pedal effort goes.

I drove a 6 puck for many years with no issue at all, the catch is to use a sprung disk

When I had my crx Turbo many many years ago I used an ACT sprung 6 puck. Pedal effort wasn't a super drastic change from stock, but got use to it. But being the Wife's car I want it to remain like she has always had it. A little extra is no big deal, but no clutch calf is 3x the size of the other..lol

Fortunately we have very very minimal Stop/Go here in the country. A blue moon for road work or line painting.

I'll give the ACT HD/SS a look

Always had good experience with ACT clutches. I test drove a Sentra with a SR20DET swap (w/ a 6 puck clutch) and it was annoying AF. Really good engagement but drivability was horrible.

Non extreme stg4 comp clutch is VERY streetable..Just get the light(not super light) flywheel with it. It helps a lot. I live in europe and we have a stoplight like every 30 seconds of driving...
Its harsh for the first 10 -20 times youll drive it but at the end it will be very ok for what it can hold..

320ft lbs. I think that would be more than enough for a 400hp build. Considering if it hits 370+,380+ we will probably call it good. Tq should not be above 280-295 at that power level on a stock block.

I’ve had the act xt pressure plate with sprung street (full face) disc in my EM1 for a while. The combo is rated for 320 lbs/ft. Clutch feels slightly heavier than stock but engagement is nice and smooth. Changing to the six puck would handle 410 lbs/ft.

I am leaning more towards the buy it once category. With some increased pedal effort will allow for an HP increase in the future without pulling crap apart again. Seriously considering the Xt sprung 6 puck

For 400bhp (330whp, which is about the most that the GSR can handle, which allows for about 270ft/lbs of torque, I recommend Exedy #08950 Stage II Thick Cerametallic pad. Easy on the foot, and can also allows your wife to enjoy the car more easily.

Being a 3 puck sprung how is engagement? I was looking for a bit more torque capacity to only purchase once when she is tired of the 350+ whp whatever it ends up with without a tear down.
