Default Switch inlet/outlet on fuel rail

I have a bdl fuel rail and Aeromotive a-1000 regulator. I was wondering if you can switch the inlet and outlet sides (have driver side as the inlet). This is really just for ease of mounting/fitment. I have -6an lines on both sides. Or would it be safer just to leave it as is?

Thanks

Either side can be in or out.
