Default Transmission flush vs change?

So I just bought a 1998 Honda Accord EX, 190k. I’m getting some hard shifts, and when I look at the trans fluid dipstick, it is the right color and doesn’t appear burnt, but am worried the previous owner may have just done a drain and fill and put some cheap transmission fluid in it. Should I do just a drain and fill once, or do the “flush” where I repeat the drain and fill 3-4 times? Thanks!

If you are going to drain, drain it the 3-4 times way.

Also, take the shift solenoids off and inspect to make sure the filters on them are not clogged, that can also cause the issue.
