Previously Unheard Sound When Shifting
Hey, Gang!
I'll be uncharacteristically brief.

My carcass-mover is a '95 Civic LX, 1.5 l., naturally aspirated, mostly stock, except for some wanna-be tuner's trailer park mods.
Yesterday I backed into a pull-off to wait to fill water jugs at my local spring. The temperature was in the upper 80s, with formidable humidity. When I started the car to leave I got a wild screeching sound with some mild, erratic clutch pedal vibration as I pushed the pedal in. This was accompanied by a loud click or pop that sounded like a relay, seemingly coming from the upper left area of the dash. The sound went away when the pedal was released, but this sequence occurred in every gear, including reverse. The shifting and feel was otherwise normal. What was very odd is that the 'BRAKE' indicator light on the instrument cluster panel also came on when the clutch pedal was pushed in, and went out when the pedal came up. Of course, I first thought that the mechanical aspect of this might be coming from the throw-out bearing, but the indicator light just seemed unrelated.
With the Honda nearing 300,000 miles, I wonder if it's possible that this is the original clutch. A lot of other stuff in and under looks factory-original or very early OEM replacement if it isn't. I get some shudder if I don't shift ideally, but everything is otherwise pretty smooth and normal. This symptom went away after a few minutes of driving and then letting the NinjaCivic sit for ten minutes or so at the grocery store. Yes, I made sure it was wearing a mask.
This hasn't happened again, but it's a headscratcher, so I wanted to mention it here in a preemptive manner and see if any voices of experience might pipe up. Thanks!

Hey!
Just checking in to see if anybody had replied to my post. I appreciate that nobody's chimed in with useless, ignorant, smart-*** comments just to be heard.

Only 115 views, but that's not a lot from which to hope to have a thoughtful reply, so I'll keep waiting. The issue is still perplexing, and it indeed happened. I'm inclined to think it was a rare occurrence Thanks for taking the time to read and consider. Peace!
