Can you put a 2009 Civic Hybrid Battery in a 2008?

Default Can you put a 2009 Civic Hybrid Battery in a 2008?

Hi, my hybrid battery in my 2008 Honda Civic is acting weird lately and only works half the time. I was at the junkyard picking up a part for my other car and they had a hybrid battery right up front from a 2009 Civic and it comes with a 30 day warranty. I'd like to buy it and put it in but when I called Honda, they said the 2 batteries were different part numbers and he actually advised I asked you guys to see if anyone knew haha.

2008 Civic Hybrid IMA battery number is Honda Part No.: 1D010-RMX-A01.
2009 Civic Hybrid IMA battery number is Honda Part No.: 1D010-RMX-A02.

You probably can put the IMA battery from the 2009 into the 2008. Various aftermarket sites show re-manufactured IMA battery replaces both those OE numbers. Here is one for example, there are many others:
