Installing Valve Springs 2006 Odyssey LX
Hi Everyone, just started to install new valve springs and for the life of me it's almost impossible to determine which end of the spring is "tightly coiled" just by looking at them. The springs must be installed with the tightly coiled end on the valve spring seat, but by looking at them it's very difficult to tell.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to determine which end is tightly coiled? I looked at the old springs I'm replacing and it's easy to tell, but those springs have 275K miles on them and are compressed and not in spec any longer for spring length.
Appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks!
