Default Factory central lock not working

Hi,

I have a 1992 delsol, with factory central lock. Recently i have noticed that when i lock or unlock the door from the drivers side, it does not unlock or lock the passengers side. however at some instanced, for example when i lock the drivers door, the passengers side unlocks, but it never locks , only unlcoks.

Could it be a problem with the central lock module?

Thanks a lot.

If passenger side locks and unlocks normally with the key, then there are two common possibilities:

1) Failing passenger side door lock actuator.
2) Corroded wire(s) in the driver and/or passenger door jambs.

Hi, Thanks a lot for your help.
I have carried some test and figured out the following,

I removed the passengers side door lock which has the actuator bolted to it and have tested it with the car battery, i connected to cables, a positive and negative to the actuator terminal for 1 second and it unlocked, then i swapped the negative and positive on the actuator terminal and it uncloked so i think that the acctuator is working fine.

I am assuming that the problem is with the central lock module box which is located in the drivers side door ( the green box)

It's much more informative to do your same test above with the assembly still installed in the door.

Not likely because the lock control unit rarely fails.

If the actuator tests good when installed in the door, next remove the door jamb rubber boot from the connector wire harness and inspect the wires for damage and corrosion.

Hi , i have taken the door card off and tested the actuator with the car battery and it locked and unlocked fine.
I thinks its a problem with the Drivers side Lock module, cause i have noticed that if the passengers side is locked and i unlock from the drivers side, the passengers side unlocks and its hard to push the rod back to lock, , its like the module wont send a signal to the passengers side to lock or release.
then if i manually lock the the passengers side, and then from the drivers side i lock, then the passengers side unlocks.
the cables have been tested and seem fine, i will try to replace the module and see from there
