Keyless Entry FOB programming issue (Solved)
I'm trying to program the FOB for my 1997 Civic Ex, but nothing happens when I press the buttons on the remote.
I'm turning the key to the "ON" position, then holding down the valet button on the stereo until the door locks actuate. So far, so good.
Then I press lock or unlock on the fob and nothing happens. The little red light on the remote lights up brightly, so I appear to have battery life in the remote. I'm wondering if there's an easy way to check if the remote is transmitting a signal. Also looking for any other troubleshooting or diagnostics to try.
Thanks,
Kieftj

Problem Solved!
I not continuing to hold the valet button down until after I pressed the remote button.
Sometimes you just need to slow down a little...
