Losing Power when accelerating

Losing Power when accelerating
Help needed. Whenever I start my car and put it in 1st gear to pull off it takes off very slow. I would floor the pedal and nothing. until I shift to a higher gear it would then start to move as per normal.
Car: 2000 yr Honda Civic Ferio Vi RS
Engine: D15z7
Transmission: Originally was auto but did a conversion to gear.
