Hey all! I have a 2000 Civic Ex with a B20 swap that I bought about a month ago. I've slowly been fixing little things here and there, but am no means an expert and I need some help! There's various plugs and lines that aren't complete or are missing, and I don't know what they go to, or if they're supposed to be used with the swap? Shoddy work for sure. Its got a funky idle that im working to correct.
-Theres looks to be a vacuum line on top of the throttle body that is just plain not there. Where is this supposed to go to?
-There's a sensor on the exhaust manifold thats missing the plug, I can't find a plug that matches that is hanging anywhere.
-There's 2 partial plugs hanging next to the air intake that have no matches??
-One more plug and wire at the back of the motor with no homes.
-incomplete plug that looks like its spliced in. If I follow the wire to the front, it leads to the fan. If I follow it back, it goes under the brake fluid reservoir and into the cabin.
Re: HELP! What do these vacuum lines/plugs go to??
Looks like they used either an EX or Si harness, so that's a start. From what I can tell without asking more questions:

Not used on this engine/emissions combo. Cap it off.

IAT sensor. I can see yours is in the intake tube. Leave this alone, or make a plate to cap it off.

VTEC solenoid (1 pin) and VTEC pressure switch (2 pin). No VTEC, so tie these back and leave alone.

Hard to tell what angle I'm looking at this from, but the 3 pin looks like an unplugged CKF sensor (D series had a 3 wire setup, B series had 2 wires) and the 1 pin looks to be the knock sensor wire with the shell missing (does the red wire have a blue tracer on it?). If you are running an obd1 ecu, you don't need to worry about these and can tie them back. If you want to run an obd2 ecu you will need to address.

That looks like a coolant line for the fast idle valve on the throttle body. No idea what throttle body that os though

That is not used in the 96-00 civic harness. On the 92-95 cars I believe its the air intake temperature sensor

The round one on the right is the coolant temperature sensor connector that should be located on the thermostat housing.
The flat one on the left I'm not familiar with but I believe its a thermostatic emissions switch plug

I'm not sure, almost looks like the alternator connector. Could also be for the crank sensor

Cruise Control unit goes here.
Curious, is your EX a coupe or a sedan?
Haha beat me to the post
Its a 99-00 civic ex sedan with ABS. Only reason I say that is that the car has the abs lines next to the battery tray
Re: HELP! What do these vacuum lines/plugs go to??
Thank you all! This is so helpful, I'm going to read through it again when I get home. Yes its a sedan! 80k on the clock but 250k on the body. It needs some body work and paint for sure lol theres not a single panel that doesnt have a dent on it. This was right before I bought it

-perfect, thank you! I checked the other comment that they were to the thermostat housing, but there is already a plug there.

-Yes, there is a blue tracer down it. I can't remember what the ecu was in it, the guy accidentally kept all the paperwork he had. I know he said its been tuned, but I don't have the details on it.
Cruise Control unit goes here.
-I remember him saying that cruise control was the one thing that didn't work on the car, so that makes sense.
I'll come back if I find anything else that is hanging around! Thank you so much for your help! I know nothing about these cars and I'm stuck figuring it out by myself by using these forums and youtube lol. It's got some idle issues but ran pretty well even with broken motor mounts and a busted harmonic balancer. Hopefully my idle and vibration issues are lessened once the new one comes in tomorrow.
