Searched extensively...What are these plugs for?????
Ok lets start this off right,
Car is a 93 Si
B16 motor believed to be OBD1.
Also believe the regular harness was used although im not 100% sure
Now to the quick story.
Car has been failing emissions for high hydrocarbons at idle. Limit is 220, Last test got 530 ppm. after changing cat, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and timing the motor properly i decided to inspect the motor just for the hell of it to see if there was anything else wrong that i could see....
Thats when i came along these plugs just dangling. I cant seem to find any empty locations for plug them into. Just wondering what they are for if anyone knows. all help would be appreciated.
TIA
First (first two pictures) plug in on the passenger side of the motor IM just below the TB.
The wire colors are solid red and yellow with a black stripe.
Second plug (last two pictures) is on the drivers side below the IM on the harness right next to the alternator wire colors are yellow wire with black stripe and pink wire with blue stripe.
Again all help greatly appreciated

one is for the iacv that is located on the black of the intake manifold next to the TB, the sensor in the picture shows where the plug plugs into...
the 2nd sensor is for the Vapor Canister Purge Valve that should be located on the firewall or on the back of the intake manifold by the FPR vac source.

Re: Searched extensively...What are these plugs for?????
Ok well first off thanks a lot!!!.. the evap purge control solenoid makes sense considering the vacuum lines running to it were just dangling. but the IACV already has a plug that is running into it and connected. thats what i thought at first so i checked every single plug on the IM and found not a single one missing... Any other ideas?

Sounds to me like you have a GSR (B18C1) wiring harness. The first plug in your pics are indeed the EVAP purge, so if you have one go ahead and plug it up. The second pic show the plug for the IAB's on a GSR manifold. Because you are using the B16A engine you won't need this so you can tuck it away.
